Remember my daughter's birthday party in McDonald's? Well, I mentioned in that post how they already have existing party decors but I still wanted to add a little something. My husband was saying I was just making my life more difficult haha! But come on, DIY makes me happy! If I could have decorated the whole McDonald's, I think I would lol. Since my daughter's theme was rainbow colors, I decided to make these paper flowers as centerpieces for the tables.

A 7th Birthday Party in McDonald's
To be honest, I already had visions of my daughter's 7th birthday party when she was still a baby, since it is a big deal here in the Philippines. I mean, I remember my 7th birthday was held in Manila Polo Club and my mom even got Lou Hilario as the magician. Well, I had dreams of throwing my own daughter a fashion themed party (with a runway) and going all out with decorations and stuff. But as the years went by, I realized that spending hundreds of thousands of pesos for a few hours just isn't worth it for me anymore. I believe you can create memories even with a simple celebration. Pero if you have the budget, go for it haha! But seriously, I think more parents are choosing to be practical nowadays and just going on a family trip or something. And when I asked my daughter about it, I was surprised when she said she would rather get her own room than have a party!
See, she currently shares a room with her brother, but of course we knew they would need their own space when they got older. So we figured it would really be the perfect gift for her. Instead of spending all that money for a party, we would just use the budget to fix up one one the rooms in the house. Plus, she really wanted a loft bed too. We already ordered one and I can't wait to see everything set up!
Anyway, I still wanted her to have a party since she wanted to celebrate with her friends and classmates. So we chose to just have it at McDonald's! Besides, I think everyone should have a McDo party at least once in their lives right? :)

Silantro Fil-Mex Cantina in Alabang
Whenever we go to Alabang Town Center and pass by Silantro (on the way to the basement parking of Metro), I notice the place is usually full. We've been curious to try this place for quite some time now and wasn't so lucky when we tried to eat there for lunch. So one time we got to ATC at around 5pm, we decided to have merienda/early dinner while there were still available seats.

Hannah Jeter Shows Off Baby Belly
Buckle up! The bump is here! Hannah Jeter's baby bump has popped!
It only took one day after the pregnancy announcement for the Sports Illustrated model to debut her baby bump. Hannah Jeter shows off her bump during the recently concluded event in NYC and boy, she is glowing!
During the promotion of the latest Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, the fashionista was busy doing rounds with her bump on Valentine’s Day. She rocked her pregnancy style as she wore a Dorothee Schumacher coat, Giuseppe Zanotti heels, and a leather skirt to complete her get-up.
During an interview with Extra, the model openly discussed her cravings. She said she doesn’t eat meat but is now craving for beef jerky all the time. Not only that, she also likes a lot of gummies, like candy and anything salty and sweet.
When it comes to the baby’s name, Derek appears to have already picked out one for their little baby, but Hannah didn’t feel like thinking about that at all. She added: "I think I'm emotional right now, so I can't decide. I don't know what I like. I think I hate everything, so I'm not there yet. Maybe towards the end, I'll get there, but for now, I'm not brainstorming. I'm just trying to keep healthy and not sick."
That’s right, girl! The name can wait ‘til you’re ready for one. No biggie! Congratulations to Hannah and Derek!

Our 8th
Today is our 8th wedding anniversary! We actually did a family photoshoot a few weeks ago and while the kids were busy running around not being cooperative (lol) I asked the photographer if she could snap some shots of me and hubby.

LEGO Brick-Amazing Sale (plus our loot!)
It was just by chance that I found out about this Lego sale last Friday night in one of the mommy groups in FB. I told hubby about it and was surprised when he said he was game to go, considering the venue was at SM MEGAMALL! I think he was also excited to check out the toys so he was willing to drive all the way to the north haha! ;p
So off we went bright and early yesterday morning. We didn't even tell the kids about it since we wanted it to be a surprise. When we got there and they saw all the Legos, they couldn't believe their eyes!

DIY Tie-Dye
My son had a 70's themed activity in school and I thought it would be fun for the kids to do their own tie-dyed shirts! I remember loving this activity when I was younger, plus tie-dye was all the rage back then right? I even had this bright tie-dye shirt I wore all the time when I was in grade school. ;p

Crosswinds Resort Suites Tagaytay
After our stay at Pico De Loro last December, we went straight to Tagaytay for the continuation of our trip. We had lunch first at Highlands, then proceeded to check-in at Crosswinds Resort Suites, which is a Swiss-inspired property located inside the leisure community of Crosswinds Tagaytay.
