Meat Depot in BF Homes

We decided to have dinner out one Friday night and we originally wanted to eat in The Farm for some burgers and steaks. But then we got surprised when we found out that they had moved already from their original location in Alabang Hills (they're now in Commercenter Mall, Filinvest, Alabang).

We figured we'll just wing it and just drive along Aguirre St. and see what jumps out at our tummies. And I guess it was a good thing because we ended up at Meat Depot!

Our Vacation Villa at Subic Homes

After our overnight stay at Holiday Inn Clark, we then moved to Subic for hubby's triathlon race. We got a villa at Subic Homes since that's really where hubby's team stays when they have races in the area.

Keeping memories with PhotoTrail

Back in the day, when there weren't any digital cameras yet, I already loved taking photos and made sure to have them developed and printed out. I remember buying photo albums and lovingly arranging all the pictures and inserting them in their individual sleeves. I also remember in high school when my friends and I would have to wait for the negatives from one person to the next just to have the photos recopied! lol! Now, it's so easy to take and share photos. You can just get them instantly through email, Facebook, Viber or WhatsApp!

I admit that I've hardly printed out my photos ever since digicams were born. There's just so much that I honestly can't choose which ones to print. I have so many CDs, DVDs, and so much files and folders stored in my hard drive! And I honestly want to print them out because I'm always so scared that my hard drive would crash or something!

That's why I'm happy there are now easier and more creative ways to have your photos printed online. Like PhotoTrail, a photobook for all your Instagram photos.

Alqueria in SM Megamall

I have a group of friends and we're all housewives so we make it a point to go out every month just to unwind. :) Last month, we agreed to head north in SM Megamall as per request of one of our friends (since we've always stayed in the south so far). I probably go to Megamall only once a year so I'm not familiar at all with the restaurants in the area. Our friend wanted to eat Spanish food so we ended up at Alqueria.

I read online that this resto was formerly known as Boqueria and is part of the SumoSam group of restaurants owned by Marvin Agustin, Ricky Laudico, and Raymund Magdaluyo. Alqueria also brought in partners Liz Uy, Mylene Dizon, Agot Isidro, and Charo Santos.

Anyway, I love the location of this place since it's on the 3rd floor of Mega Fashion Hall, near H&M!

Our stay at Holiday Inn Clark

Our family took a quick overnight stay at Holiday Inn in Clark last June since hubby was participating in a triathlon race in Subic. The last time I stayed here was when I was in high school pa ata, so it's been a very long time ago!

Located in Pampanga, Holiday Inn Clark is situated in the Mimosa Leisure Estate. Getting there, I noticed there are now more restaurants near the area and also SM mall. So very convenient to eat out or even buy fast food for the kids.

Tatsunoko Japanese Restaurant, BF Homes

While driving along El Grande Street in BF one time, hubby pointed to this seemingly rundown looking house and said that it was a famous Japanese resto in the area which he wanted to try. The place itself looked old and shabby and it honestly didn't look very inviting at all. So I said next time lang.

Fast forward later, we were on our way to SM BF for lunch with the kids and passed by this street again. Hubby said he really wanted to eat here since he was craving for Japanese so I said fine, sige na nga!

Again, the place looked really dubious from the outside. It looked like an abandoned house, but there were so many cars parked outside. And well, there was an OPEN sign on the door so I guess it must really be a restaurant haha. ;p

Kracie Popin' Cookin' Bento Making Kit

Kracie Popin' Cookin' is a series of Japanese Do-It-Yourself candy making kits using just powder and water. I first encountered this when I saw my daughter watching a tutorial video on YouTube. It seemed so fun to do so when I saw some in a local bazaar, I just had to buy her one!

Erwin's Gastrobar in City of Dreams Manila

The restaurants in City of Dreams Manila are all quite high-end, plus they don't have a food court. They have a global line-up of restaurants like Nobu (Japanese), APU (Filipino), Prego (Italian), O Kitchen (Korean), Crystal Dragon (Chinese), Red Ginger (Asian), Noodl8 (Asian) but probably the most family-friendly one in my opinion is Erwin's Gastrobar which serves casual American food like burgers, fries, sandwiches, and chicken.

An afternoon at Manila Ocean Park

After our staycation at the Manila Hotel, we decided to go to Manila Ocean Park. The first time we were here was in 2011 and we only brought Miley with us since Sabe was just a few months old. This time, I was excited to experience it with all my kids. :)

Crafternoons: Napkin Decoupage with HEISL

I was invited by Patty and Michelle, the ladies behind Crafternoons, to a preview class to learn all about decoupage. For those not familiar, decoupage is the art of decorating an object by gluing paper cutouts onto it.

Paume's Pastry House (BF Homes)

Hubby and I went out for dessert one night and wound up at Paume's Pastry House in Presidents Ave, BF. This cafe is fairly new, having just opened earlier this year. And judging from the outside, the place already looks bright and inviting.
