Real Living online features

Our home was featured a few months ago in the August 2015 issue of Real Living. This time, they also published two articles about it on their website!

Our house is featured in Real Living!!!

If you know me or have been reading this blog for quite some time now, then you know that Real Living Magazine has been a constant source of inspiration for me for many, many years. Even before I got married, I was already reading this magazine, just dreaming about the day when I would have my own home and get to decorate it.

When we finally moved into our house 3 years ago, I initially wanted to hire an interior designer. I actually inquired among several decorators whose style I liked from Real Living and even had an ocular at our home to know the costs. Well, it turns out we couldn't afford it then, but I guess it was a blessing in disguise since I was able to fully exercise my creativity and DIY skills to the maximum level.

Hubby and I bought furniture on sale and had some custom made to save on costs. I went online to find inspiration from websites like Houzz and Project Nursery. I discovered so many blogs that inspired me to do my own DIY projects (which I blogged about as well!). I discovered places like Dapitan and Uniwide which were treasure troves for budget conscious people like me.

All these things led us to have the home that we have today, a home that I'm extremely proud of. And what makes it even more special is that I didn't need an interior designer after all! Like the title of the article says, this really was my "PERSONAL PROJECT". And this just proves that you don't need to spend a lot in order to have a nice space. I think it's just a combination of inspiration, imagination, and a little bit of hard work too (hindi madali ang magpaint ng room ha!).

Before, I would just read Real Living magazine, gushing over the beautiful houses page after page. Who would have thought that I would eventually be able to see our own home inside the magazine? I swear, it really is a dream come true!

Sabe's Monster Party featured in Kids Party Hub

With Miley's 3rd birthday party being featured in Smart Parenting, I suddenly remembered that I have some other features before which I never got to post about. Better late than never right? ;p I know this isn't much compared to other bloggers, but I'm still so proud and kilig nonetheless. Thank you and I hope for more of these in the future. Miley's Hello Kitty party is featured in Smart Parenting!

August is turning out to be such an awesome month! First, I shared how my mom's living room was chosen in the makeover contest for Real Living's August issue. Second, it's my birthday in a couple of weeks. And now, Miley's 3rd birthday party is featured in this month's issue of Smart Parenting! Yahoooo! :)

The article is all about DIY parties and I'm so happy Miley's Hello Kitty Valentine celebration made it to the list! Thank you as well to Katherine Lopez for the interview. The whole issue is actually packed with fun and creative ideas for your parties so grab the latest copy now. :)

Miley's 1st magazine appearance!

Guess who's inside Disney's Princess magazine's June 2013 issue? Our very own little princess Miley! :)

I sent her picture last March to be featured in the Princess Postbag section and have been checking the newsstands monthly for the next issue of the magazine. When we went to the grocery yesterday, I finally saw the magazine and eagerly opened one up to see if she had been chosen. And when I saw her photo, I was so happy I was literally jumping up and down at the cashier hehe! Miley was there too and she couldn't believe she was in the magazine! She kept saying "It's me! It's me!" Daddy and Yaya were so excited too when I showed it to them, I swear we were so noisy while we were paying for our groceries! ;p

We bought a couple of copies for the grandparents and of course to keep as a remembrance. It's so funny how excited we were over this, what more if she was featured in a print ad or in a TV commercial kaya? Haha super stage mom! I'm just so happy that she can see herself in her favorite magazine and dressed in her favorite ball gown too, since I'm sure that every little girl dreams to be a princess right? :)
