Miley's 1st playschool experience

Yesterday, we went to Toddlers Unlimited in Makati for Miley's very first time in playschool. And what a fun day it was!

Miley was assigned to the yellow classroom

Miley was a bit shy when we got there. She didn't want to let go of me at first, but after a while, we were able to quietly sneak outside the classroom when she was busy playing. She cried for a bit when she realized we were gone, so I had to go back inside. =)

After some activities inside the classroom, everyone was brought out to the Romp Area. According to their website, Romp Play Time is an important part of the day that is designed to get children involved in games or activities that help them develop their gross motor skills.

Miley super enjoyed the slide
playing basketball
playing house
all the parents watching and taking pictures (parang zoo haha!)

Miley had so much fun during the Romp Play Time that we were able to stay outside while she interacted and played with the other kids and the teachers. She would sometimes look for us, then we'd duck behind the wall so she wouldn't see us and start crying.

After Romp Play Time, the kids were all brought back to the classroom for snacks. We actually forgot to bring Miley's favorite Sumo cookies so Vins had to rush out and buy some at 7-Eleven! haha!

After snacks, while the teacher was reading a book, Miley went to the back to try on some clothes (mana talaga sa mommy).

knocked-out!

It was so funny, I was the one who was so excited and nervous that it felt like it was my first day of school! Gosh, I wonder how I'll be when it's time for Miley to go to real school already? Anyway, I loved the fact that Miley was able to adjust so well. She only cried a little, but then she'd be okay when the teacher would come and comfort her. We had so much fun that we're considering enrolling her in more classes.

Btw, this class was c/o the voucher I got from CashCashPinoy and there was no problem whatsoever in claiming it. I just called ahead for reservation and that was it. =)

Playdate

Had a playdate with some of my high school friends a couple of days ago. It was super fun seeing the kids interact with each other, and of course to catch up with what everyone's been doing!

It was a potluck merienda and everyone made what they brought... except me! Can you guess my contribution? I just ordered from Brooklyn Pizza haha! I really should learn how to cook already! =)
all the girls wanted to hug Sabe! naks chickboy! ;p
Vins = one of the girls

Miley had the most FUN time. She and her playmate had this love-hate relationship wherein one minute they'd be playing together, then the next minute they'd be fighting over toys! I can just imagine when Sabe is Miley's age haha!

Anyway, tomorrow is Miley's toddler class and I seriously can't wait! I hope she has as much fun as she did during this playdate! =)

Baby Sleep Positions

Saw this on Facebook and just had to share. This is so true! Sabe sleeps with us and I think he does all the positions mentioned below. Me and Vins are practically falling off the bed when we sleep since Sabe twists and turns and kicks like a ninja! There was one time, I woke up just in time to catch him just as he was about to roll off the foot of the bed! So to all parents out there, I'm sure you can relate haha! =)

Red for Reunion

Wore this to the Santos family reunion which was held at their ancestral home in Bulacan. My husband's side of the family was assigned the color red - the one color which probably occupies 1% of my closet. Good thing I was able to find this printed maxi dress. I bought this for the beach which is why the style is low-cut and completely backless (not exactly appropriate attire for this event haha). I used a tube top as a bandeau and made it more conservative by adding a white vest over it.

Love the chandeliers! We were actually supposed to use this house as the location for our pre-nup pictorial but we were able to find another closer location around Metro Manila.

Anyway, that's the end of our long weekend. How did you spend yours? =)

Miley's playtime routine

This is what Miley does everyday:

Her room starts out clean with all the toys neatly organized in their containers...
She then asks me to bring down the containers and then removes the lids one by one...
She then proceeds to dump all the contents on the floor...
 Guilty look:
The whole floor covered with toys!
She then uses the containers as a slide...
 Or hides inside them...

After we fix her room and put all the toys back in the containers, she then does everything all over again!

Ayala Triangle Sunday

Headed over to Ayala Triangle last Sunday for merienda. Perfect weather, perfect company. What more can you ask for? =)

ang sweet talaga ng husband ko!
Miley loved playing under this sculpture. "House" daw.
