Meat Depot in BF Homes

We decided to have dinner out one Friday night and we originally wanted to eat in The Farm for some burgers and steaks. But then we got surprised when we found out that they had moved already from their original location in Alabang Hills (they're now in Commercenter Mall, Filinvest, Alabang).

We figured we'll just wing it and just drive along Aguirre St. and see what jumps out at our tummies. And I guess it was a good thing because we ended up at Meat Depot!

Meat Depot is a wholesale and retail meat shop where you can choose your own steak and cooking style. We were lucky to get a table at once since the place was packed!

You can take your pick from a variety of pre-packaged, vacuum sealed meats:

Tapang Damulag, Skinless Longganisa, German Franks, Hungarian Sausage, Macao
longganisa from Vigan, Lucban, Alaminos, Bacon, Corned Beef, Lamb Curry
different steaks
Ox Face, Beef Liver, Goat Meat Caldereta, Squid Rings, White River Cobbler Fillet
freezer where you choose your steak

Here's how you order. Prices depend on the type of meat you choose and of course the weight. So you can end up spending P350 up to P1000 for your steak.

You can see them cooking the meats right in front of the restaurant in the open air. I guess it's good that it's done outside so it isn't smoky inside or smells like a grill.

Hubby got the Angus Beef Rib Eye and I got Grass-fed Rib Eye steak. Both steaks were big so we could have shared just one piece actually! We both got rice for our sides and mushroom gravy sauce. As you can see, the rice is a bit small so we ordered extra pa as usual. ;p

You can also buy your meats here just like in the supermarket.

Btw, they also have a sign that states they only give 5% discount to senior citizens and PWDs. But I read the explanation in their FB that the 5% discount is because Meat Depot is a retail/wholesale meat supplier. Their cooking services are actually available so the customers can try the products before taking them home. Unlike in restaurants, availing of the cooking services is optional at the Meat Depot. Products to supplement your meat - like drinks, sides, and the cooking fee ARE subject to the 20% discount because they of course do not fall under the fresh meat category.

We definitely had a good meal and will be back to try more of their steaks! Yum! :)
