A Baby Shower at Tsukiji Japanese Restaurant

Since it's Mother's Day today, I'll be sharing a baby shower my friends and I threw a few weeks ago at Tsukiji Japanse Restaurant in Makati.

When we were deciding where to have the baby shower, we knew we wanted it to be in Makati and somewhere that had a private function room. One of my friends suggested Tsukiji which is actually in the Milky Way building along Pasay Road. None of us have ever tried it before and since we were all in the mood for some Japanese food, it was a go!

Anyway, Tsukiji has private rooms available for groups of 5 to 30. They also have Smoking and Non-Smoking seating, complimentary basement parking, and their menu is available in English and Japanese.

This was our room and it was good for 10-12 pax. They also allowed us to decorate the place although we just hung very simple buntings on one side of the wall.

Anyway, here's what we ordered:

Salmon Sashimi P1,450

Take Nigiri (9 pieces Sushi and 3 pieces Maki) P1,200

Halo-Halo Donburi (breaded shrimp. squid, oyster, fish, pork) P550

As you can see, food was very expensive! Although everything tasted ok and was prepared really well, I personally think it's a bit overpriced. But service was good and we had a lovely time. Thank goodness we really had a private room because even though we were just 5 girls, we were pretty loud haha! ;p
