Mothers Who Brunch Goes Asian

I was invited to the 3rd installment of the Mothers Who Brunch event, organized by Sab of Sinfully Sabrina and Michelle of Momma ‘N Manila last August 22. Again, it was held at the Viking Range Showroom in Westgate Alabang. It was actually raining pretty hard that morning so I was afraid the event was going to get cancelled! But luckily, the rains died down, so we were all able to enjoy this wonderful event with friends and good food.

This time, the theme was Asian and Boqueria Lifestyle Market beautifully styled the place to perfection. I love the fans that were placed in each setting, which we were also able to take home as a souvenir.

It was also great seeing Chef Arnold and Chef Anna from the Pastry Armoire event! I knew then that we were definitely in for a treat since I couldn't get enough of their cooking last time. :)

But before all that, another surprise was waiting for us upstairs. We all took part in a flower arranging class which I later learned was called Ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement). It was my first time and I have to admit it was really fun! We also got to take home our creations including these lovely vases from L'Indochine.

Then it was time for the food! If before, we helped out in the kitchen, now we just watched Chef Arnold do his thing hehe. He demonstrated how to cook his Gourmet Spicy Tinapa Fried Rice, which was soooo good!

The smell was really amazing and we were all getting so hungry and excited to eat! Check out all the food we feasted on:

Fresh Spring Rolls
Cedar Plank Asian Salmon
Asian Chicken Lettuce Wraps
Spicy Lechon Belly
Gourmet Tinapa Rice
Matcha Blondies, Kashi Maki, Kaffir Lime Tartlets from Pastry Armoire

We also brought home a ton of goodies like an embroidered pouch and gift checks from L'Indochine, makeup from Benefit Cosmetics, a delicious leche flan brownie from Pastry Armoire, products from Lee Kum Kee and Glad Kitchen, plus Chef Arnold's Deep Dips Gourmet. Thank you!!!

Again, thank you to Sab and Michelle and congratulations on another successful event. I can't wait to see Mothers Who Brunch grow even bigger in the future.
