Landmark Alabang Department Store is Now Open!

Oh my gosh! I was seriously hyperventilating yesterday when we went to Festival Mall and I saw that Landmark's department store is NOW OPEN! Their supermarket has been open for a few months already and I've been eagerly awaiting for the rest of store to get finished... and finally it is! Hooray!!!

Shopping loot from Bungalow 300

Here's what I ended up buying from Bungalow 300's sale:

I love buying stuff for entertaining so I got these cork coasters, which were 50% off (original price: P765).

They had different whimsical designs like birds and flowers (comes in black and white too), but I chose the ones with numbers. I love how they're numbered from 0-9, so you and your guests can keep track of who's drink is on it. I think it's also a nice gift idea right? :)

And the reason why I went to Bungalow 300 in the first place - their pillows which were 50% off too! Like I said, I had such a hard time choosing what colors and prints to get since everything was so cute! In the end, I decided to get these prints in pink and coral tones:

CHEVRON & SCALLOP original price: P755; IKAT original price: P795
size: 18"x18"
all their pillows are printed on one side only

I also got these Ikat pillows in indigo as well. The 2 striped ones are bigger in size than the others at 21"x21". The inside cushions are not included in the price btw, but were cheap at only P50 each.

Striped IKAT original price: P795; Small IKAT original price: P625

Just to remind you, here's how my living room couch looked like with my Landmark buys:

And here's how it looks like now after I incorporated the new indigo covers! What do you think? :)

I honestly still think my Landmark covers are the best buys ever - less than P100 each and they're printed on both sides of the pillow too! And don't you think their designs give their more expensive counterparts a run for their money? ;p But I think the Bungalow 300 ones are a nice addition to my collection anyways. And thank goodness they were on sale hehe!

My Fab Finds

2 of my favorite places to shop in are definitely SM and Landmark. They really have so many cute and affordable stuff! I swear, I could spend the whole day just going around their home sections.

I always manage to stumble upon something I really love and just need to buy whenever I go to these malls. Sharing with you some of my latest and fabulous finds. :)

1. I just fell in love with this metal Eiffel Towel the minute I laid eyes on it. This was from the Landmark and cost P900. I think it was a steal considering the size (it's 24" tall) since I've come across smaller ones costing more than double the price.

 2. Also from the Landmark was this placemat set for only P79.75 (6 pieces). I just love the whimsical print and it's packaged nicely so you can even give it as a gift.

3. I blogged about the amazing Living Room Linens section at the Landmark where I bought my throw pillow covers. They also have a great selection of tablecloths like the one I got for only P219.75! The material is a thick cloth and the print is so vibrant in real life. I just wanted to hoard all the designs!

4. Now I also got another tablecloth this time from SM. The material is the plastic kind which I prefer since it's waterproof and easier to wipe clean especially with kids around. This one only cost P100 and I love the dainty, vintagey, floral pattern.

5. I've always loved flamingos so I instantly knew I was getting this one the moment I laid eyes on it. I didn't even check the price at first so imagine my happiness when I found out it was on sale for only P250! Score!

So happy with all my purchases since they're all super cute and cheap too! Fabulous indeed right? ;p

New pillows for my mom's living room

After I showed my mom how my living room looks now with the new pillow covers I got from The Landmark, she immediately dragged me back there to do some shopping for her own space.

We ended up choosing green and blue colors, as well as floral prints...

I wasn't able to take a before shot of her living area since when I visited her after, the covers were already replaced. But her pillows used to be an oriental themed red. Now, I like how the new covers make the space look more modern and younger. :)

And with each cover costing just P54.75, how can you go wrong? :)

New pillows = New living room look!

Here's my throw pillow cover haul from my trip to The Landmark. Like I said in my previous post, there were so many cute prints and patterns to choose from that it took me forever to decide which ones to get...

My current pillow covers are in the more muted shades of purple, so I knew I wanted to go really bright and colorful since it's summer after all. Since I wanted to buy almost all the designs, I decided to just get one of each print I really liked and just mix and match!

These covers in the blue/green shade are 20"x20" and cost P69.75 each...

The rest were 17"x17" and cost P54.75 each...

I read a lot of rules in mixing prints, like sticking to the same color palette or combining patterns in a range of sizes. But if all else fails, just put them all together like I did and if it looks good to you, then it probably works haha! ;p

Here's how my living room looks now with the new covers! Laveeeeet! ;p

Can you believe all these pillow covers just cost me about P650??? That's cheaper than one pillow I originally wanted from Dimensione which was about P700. Now my living room looks completely different all for under P1k and I couldn't be happier. Best buys ever!!! :)

Throw Pillow Heaven at The Landmark

If you know me, then you know I have a slight obsession with pillow covers. I usually buy anything with a really cute pattern or print, especially if it's on sale. I actually checked my inventory a few weeks ago and I have about 20+ unused pillow covers which I've accumulated over the years!

Anyway, I have been drooling over the gorgeous pillows over at Taste Central these past few days. I've been so tempted numerous times to buy those Bungalow 300 brand pillows (which you can also find in Dimensione) that cost about P700 each. But then I remembered that I hadn't been to The Landmark in a while now. The last time was when I bought new pillowcases 6 months ago!

So good thing we had to attend a party at Makati Shangri-La, so I dragged hubby over there right after. I miss those times when I used to work in Makati, since my office was just walking distance to the Ayala area. I could just pop by The Landmark, Glorietta, or SM anytime I wanted during lunch or after work. Now, going to Makati is a special event in itself haha! ;p

As usual, The Landmark did not disappoint! Their Living Room Linens section were filled with so many cute and modern designs. I personally think they have the best selection with unbeatable prices! I mean check out the prints and patterns below. They give all those much more expensive brands a run for their money! I think the most expensive cover I saw was only about P250.

They also have these cute chair pads at just P130 each.

I was really overwhelmed with all the designs! Level up talaga from the last time I was here. I was like a mad woman carrying so many covers, I think I had one in every color haha! ;p

These designs were P129.75 each and the material is kind of the shiny type...

The covers below come in 3 sizes, small (17"x17") for P54.75, medium (20"x20") for P69.75 and large (24"x24") for P79.75. Super cheap right?? And the material was such good quality! And I can't emphasize how CUTE the designs were! For someone who loves throw pillows this was really HEAVEN for me lol! But some of the designs I wanted were sold out in the bigger sizes (I needed a couple in medium but everything was mostly in small)... I had to work things around but I was happy in the end with my choices. :)

I was really so confused on what to get I think naikot na ni hubby buong Landmark pati Glorietta and I still wasn't done! Hahaha! I mean come on, once in a blue moon na lang ako makapunta here so might as well sulitin diba? ;p

So if you're looking to give your home a makeover, you have to check out The Landmark promise! I'll reveal my buys in the coming post so stay tuned. :)

New pillowcases and paper napkins from Landmark

I haven't been to Landmark for the longest time so I was literally going crazy when I saw all the super nice stuff they had in the home section. I had a limited amount of time to go around so the only things I zeroed on were the pillowcases and paper napkins. Anyway, here's the stuff I ended up getting:

There were so many cute designs for these paper napkins, I wanted to hoard them all!
P39.75 each
I also got one pack with a Christmas design
P29.75

Now here's where I spent so much time - checking out the throw pillows since all the designs were to die for! I literally had a whole cart of pillowcases in different colors and designs, and it took me forever to narrow it down to my final selection. I finally decided on purple tones, since I'm about to put up my Christmas tree which has a purple and gold theme.

LOVE the embroidery on these cases! Size of these are 17"x17"
P229.75, P279
These were the bigger sizes (about 21")
P109.75, P149.75, P169.75
got varying shades of purple and in different textures

Here's how I arranged them on my couch (you can see the previous arrangement and pillows HERE). Like I keep saying, I love how you can totally transform the look of a room just by changing your pillow covers!

I'm still deciding what pillows to use on the other side. Check out my 2 options. What do you think is better? :p

OPTION A
or OPTION B?

Anyway, there were also so many cute canvas pillow covers with vintage and travel designs like Paris, London, New York... But in the end, I was able to control myself and got just this one:

P179.75

Which I used for our couch inside our bedroom.

I totally want to go back to Landmark when I have more time! I think I can spend one whole day there just at the home section haha! ;p
