Vancouver Vacation: Shopping heaven at HomeSense
Shopping for home decor has got to be my favorite (next to clothes of course). And during our trip to Vancouver Canada, I stumbled upon a motherload of fabulous finds at HomeSense!

Bungalow 300
I have always loved Bungalow 300's colorful pillows which I first saw in Dimensione and are also available via Taste Central. I was obsessed with the chevron pattern then and I think theirs was the first one I saw with that print. I came thisclose to buying some, however my kuripot side won over since each pillowcase is about P700-P800. I mean that's a lot considering there are super cute pillowcases over at my happy place Landmark for less than P100 each!
Anyway, it just so happened that I found out they were having a 3-day sale last weekend through Instagram (@bungalow300). I figured I'd check it out since it said discounts were from 10% to 50% off.

I immediately zeroed in on the pillows and my heart started pounding when I was told they were 50% off! OMG! Each pillowcase would be about P300-P400, still a lot more expensive than my Landmark finds. But it was a good deal nonetheless, considering I almost bought these at full price before (see, patience is a virtue haha!).
It was so hard to choose! I didn't want to go overboard and buy every color and pattern just because it was on sale (I've done that way too many times!). I wanted to get designs that would work with what I already had at home. I must have looked so confused since one of the owners came up to me and asked if I needed help haha! I told her it was ok, I really take my time when deciding. ;p
They also sell Domesticity products like these cutlery and glass trays you see on the top shelf below. I've also been eyeing these over at Taste Central, but they were only 10% off though...
I had to restrain myself from buying these placemat sets since I already have so much (still unused) at home. But they would make such pretty gifts right?
Here's some more eye-candy around the store. I love the vintage modern furniture, quirky and bold accessories and so much more!

According to them, this is their very first sale ever! So I'm really happy I was able to catch it. I'll show you in the coming post what I ended up buying. ;p So if you're in the south and you like what you see, definitely try to drop by this store. I also saw that they hold crafting workshops here so hopefully I can join the next one. :)
Buencamino is along Alabang Zapote road right across Honda Cars. You will see Metro Bank- Sycamore building on the corner of Buencamino. When you turn in to the street look for the white row house 50 meters to your left with a big No.7

Pineapple Crush
I'm currently obsessing over pineapples and love how they're popping up almost everywhere these days. From fashion to home decor, it's so fun and funky that I can't get enough of it! I don't know how long this trend will last, but here's some fruity finds I'm definitely crushing on for now :)
So what do you think, are you a fan of this trend? :)

Online shopping at Zalora
As I told you about in my previous post, I'm pretty much addicted to online shopping these days. And one of the sites I'm constantly browsing is ZALORA. I never bought from here before despite signing up for their newsletter way back in 2012. But I've regularly checked their items from time to time just to see if there's something new.
It was finally this pair of shoes which caught my eye, especially since it was on sale too. I really liked the color and the design and decided to go ahead and buy it...
I also wanted to buy a couple of other shoes, but finally decided to get this one from CLN. The nude color makes it perfect for any outfit while the PVC material of these jelly flats makes it waterproof so I can wear it even to the beach. But the rhinestones give it enough bling that I can also wear it to more formal occasions.
I also couldn't resist getting a couple of accessories since they were on sale too. The neon green necklace was now P250 (from P499), the purple earrings at P109 (from P349), and the tassel necklace at P179 (from P345). What great deals right? :)
Shipping is free for orders P1000 above. I also picked the CASH ON DELIVERY option so I just paid directly to the courier. My orders arrived on time but the CLN sandals were a bit small and the Vida Liz Mid Heels Sandals was missing a buckle on one strap. What I love about Zalora is that they offer 30 days return, so all I did was call their hotline, explain why I wanted to return the items, and they scheduled it for pick-up - all FREE of charge. You can choose to get store credit or just simply exchange it, which I did to a bigger size and a new stock. The new items arrived a couple of days later and they were perfect! And I didn't even have to leave the house at all. ;p
Since I had such a good experience my first time, I ordered again a couple of days later. This time a black dress and another necklace.
What I also love is the photos from the site are so true to the actual products. Everything I got was exactly how I pictured it to be.
The best part of Zalora for me is really the free returns because you don't have to worry about something not fitting you or having a change of heart. It really is a hassle free shopping experience in my opinion. Also dangerous though because once you start, it can be hard to stop. I have so many items in my wishlist and cart just waiting to be checked-out... :)

DIY Flower Crown
I had a vision for my maternity shoot and I knew I wanted to wear a flower crown for that boho, free-spirited look. Luckily, all the materials came together and I was able to make one which I completely love! :)
I got all the artificial flowers from Uniwide for a steal:
I also got these floral stems from National Bookstore to hold all the flowers together:
Can I just say I'm so happy I found these flowers with the long stems! Without them, I don't know what I would have used for the base. They're made of wire so I was able to bend and shape it into a circle to fit my head.
I just used masking tape to connect the ends together:
I then pulled apart the other flowers to put on the crown:
Then, I used the floral wire to attach the flowers to the crown. Just keep wrapping them around the stems tightly and layering on the flowers to your liking:
And here's my finished crown! I just placed the flowers halfway since it won't be seen in the back anyways. But you can go ahead and continue everything the whole way.
And there you have it! I think it totally completed my look for my maternity shoot don't you think? :)
