Children's Festival 2016 at Gardens by the Bay Singapore

Singapore is definitely one of my favorite family destinations. The city is safe and clean, transportation system is efficient, and there are just so many attractions and activities for kids! One such event we were fortunate enough to go to during our vacation last March was the Children's Fest in Gardens by the Bay.

I was just googling "kid-friendly activities in Singapore" that morning, then I happened to chance upon this festival online. Mind you, this was on March 20, so it was pure luck that we caught this event on its LAST day!

The event was in the Supertree Grove area so we did quite a bit of walking from Marina Bay Sands. It was HOT, but the lovely surroundings made up for it. ;p

Finally, we got there, and we were greeted by different craft and game booths. The kids had so much fun doing all the activities like fridge magnet designing, hand puppet making, and playing with kinetic sand, all for FREE!

There was even a huge bouncy castle, which they had a blast on!

Hubby took this time to go up the OCBC Skyway ($8 admission), where you can see panoramic vistas of the Gardens and Marina Bay skyline. I am super scared of heights so I was glad to let him do this by himself hehe. His pictures looked awesome though! But my palms were getting sweaty just looking at them haha! :)

can you spot us? ;p

But our favorite part of the day was this game booth called the "Human Claw Machine" where the kids are put in a harness, lifted into a huge box filled with toys, and then they grab their own prize! I thought the kids were going to be scared but they were so game! What a fun and memorable experince for them. : )

It was such an awesome afternoon for the whole family! So if ever you're in Singapore, always make it point to check the events at Gardens by the Bay since they always have something fun for kids. :)
