For those in the south, Little Tycoons is located in the 2nd Level of Westgate Hub in Alabang, near S&R. The place is similar to other playhouses you would find in malls where you could leave your children for a couple of hours. What I liked about this particular establishment though is that it's designed like a mini city, which reminded me very much of Kidzania!
Instead of ball pits and slides, you will find establishments like a hospital, supermarket, restaurant, salon, bank, cafe, and a karaoke room. Personally, I like this type of play more since it promotes learning and imagination. And they can be exposed to different careers in a fun way,
Rates for kids are P200/hour and P400/unlimited time. Adults are P50 each if you want to enter the playhouse too. They also offer a membership pass for P3,500 which is good for 10 unlimited plays.
Unless you're really on a tight schedule, just get the unlimited pass since one hour is really bitin for the kids. We spent 3 hours there and we had to really plead and convince the kids that we'll just be back next time, otherwise I think they could have spent all day there!
If you're thinking of leaving your kids there, you register with a thumbprint, and only the authorized adult can bring the child out. Although there isn't really anywhere else to go in the building itself, so me and the other mommies just spent the whole time with the kids inside the playhouse. The nearest place would probably be S&R if you want to grab a bite to eat or do some grocery shopping first.

I believe they just opened last April so you can tell the place is still new. Toys and equipment are clean and in good condition. They also had a lot of Melissa and Doug brand toys. What I especially loved is how they have costumes and accessories in each room so they can really fit into their different roles like a chef, a doctor, or even a rock star.
The size of the place was also just right for me. It was big enough for the kids to run around, but small enough for us adults to see everything from where we were seated. And I think the fact that it's not located in a mall is a plus since there weren't so many people. There were only about 10-15 kids when we were there and it was the weekend.
Here's a closer look at the different rooms:
the bank with ATM machines and computer |
working hard for the money (laptop wasn't working though) |
love the cute kimonos and slippers in the Japanese resto, one of their favorite rooms |
super cute and good quality toys! |
the doctor is in |
foot spa or blow dry? |
grocery shopping |

the grocery carts are so cute |
The videoke room also had DVDs like Inside Out. It was a bit hot in the room though. |

They also had one working car which most of the kids (especially the boys) were fighting over. I saw two other cars outside but they seemed to be broken. It was also quite hard driving the car around because the space was a bit limited. I had to follow my kid to make sure he didn't hit anything or anyone.
If you ask me, it was really worth it since the kids had so much fun! Even though the place was small, they seem to never run out of things to do and play with. Btw, you can book the entire place for birthday parties and events. So make sure to check their FB page in advance for announcements on when the playhouse will be closed to the public for celebrations.
If you're looking for a cheaper alternative to Kidzania, this is definitely a good option. My kids can't stop raving about the place and are already bugging me to go back. :)
