Our family loves going on
staycations, and our last one here at Somerset Alabang definitely tops our list.
Somerset Alabang Manila is actually a serviced residence (similar to
Discovery Primea Makati). Their lobby is quite small but still stylishly decorated. It's also near Insular Life and walking distance to
Acacia Hotel and the restaurants right across it (McDonald's, Jollibee, Project Pie).
Somerset Alabang offers business and leisure travellers a choice of studios, 1-, 2-, or 3-bedroom apartments, all of which feature contemporary interiors with modern amenities such as a fully-equipped kitchen, separate working and living areas, a home entertainment system and broadband Internet connection.
We stayed in a 1-Bedroom Deluxe which had a comfortable bedroom, a spacious bathroom with bathtub, and a modern kitchen.

I don't know what their cable was, but their channels were all HD and so clear! There was even a Star Wars marathon that afternoon so we just wanted to lie in bed and chill (especially since we had just watched Rogue One a few days before). The best part was that there was another TV in the living area so the kids could watch their own shows without bothering us haha! Heaven!
There was also complimentary meringue cookies which my baby loved!
Guests also get to enjoy the residence's recreational areas - swimming pool, fitness centre, residents' lounge and a Cubbies playroom for kids. Of course, we were most excited to check out the playroom first, which was so cute and comfy!
There was also a TV which was showing some of my son's favorite Youtube videos!
One of their staff, Jerry (who also brought our bags to our room), informed us that there was an origami making activity at the playroom in the afternoon. I was surprised when
HE was also the one teaching the class haha! He was seriously the NICEST guy ever! Even my kids kept saying how nice he was. He really made our stay there memorable and feel like home.

This was the pool area at the 4th floor (a few steps away from the Cubbies playroom). Water was super cold though since this was in December, so I didn't even dare to take a dip. I don't know how my kids could stand it! ;p

Like I mentioned, Somerset is walking distance to restaurants such as McDonald's, Jollibee, and Project Pie. You could even walk to Festival Mall! This made it super convenient to buy food and eat.

Breakfast was ok and yummy. My only complaint was that there was NO BACON haha! ;p
We had a really great time at Somerset Alabang! The best part was probably the service. Special mention to Jerry and everyone else who were all so accommodating. They even say "
Welcome home" when you check-in and when they bring you to your room. Will definitely be back! :)
