South on South

We tried a fairly new restaurant for Skyler's birthday celebration last month, which was South on South in BF Homes. For those familiar with the area, it's very near Pancake House and Starbucks in President's Avenue. I believed it opened last August 2015 and it's a family-owned resto-bar serving honest-to-goodness Southern U.S. homey cuisine and cocktail drinks with a Filipino twist.

We arrived at 8pm on a Friday and the place was surprisingly empty. But it was a good thing since the kids had so much fun running around at first. But the people started coming in later and mostly made up of the young crowd out to drink. By the time we left at 9:30, the place was already packed, the lights were dimmed and music turned up. I'm really getting old haha!

Anyway, I love the ambiance of the place with its modern yet homey vibe.

Aside from their hand crafted bourbon cocktails, they also serve local craft beers,

Anyway, food was quite affordable and tasted great (the chicharon was amazing!). Their staff was also super friendly and accommodating. Sorry for the crappy quality of the pics, I only had my phone with me and the lighting was a bit dark. But definitely a place we will come back to. :)
