Tori Ichi is a Japanese restaurant originally from Kyoto and they specialize in an extensive array of yakitori. Aside from Festival Mall, they also have brances in BGC, 30th Ayala, and MOA.
Tori Ichi only uses Binchotan (Japanese charcoal) in cooking their yakitori which gives it that special flavor. We decided to get the Tomodachi Set which is 10 pieces of assorted yakitori so we could have a taste of most of the meat they had on the menu.
These were the sticks included in the sets:
hot towel and appetizer before our meal |
Tomodachi Set P550 |
chicken meatball, quail eggs with bacon, chicken & scallion, chicken liver, corn on the cob |
bacon-wrapped asparagus, seasoned rib-eye, pork belly, chicken gizzard, chicken & wing |
Everything was so good! I felt like we were back in Japan eating at Omoide Yokocho in Shinjuku. I didn't try the liver and gizzard though but hubby said it was ok. But the rest were so flavorful and amazing! I think we could have finished the 20 stick set lol ;p
They also have other items on their menu like rice meals, sushi, maki, ramen and noodles. We also ordered salmon sashimi and Dashimaki Tamago (Japanese rolled omelette).
Salmon Sashimi P250 |
Dashimaki Tamago P95 |
I think we have a new favorite spot in Festival Mall. Definitely a thumbs-up for this Japanese restaurant!
