Kiddie manicure at Robots & Dolls salon

Earlier this month, I blogged about our salon experience at Robots and Dolls where both my kids got a haircut.

The salon also offers nailcare for kids, like manicure, pedicure, and foot spa. Miley loves nail polish so much (she even knows how to apply it herself!) that I decided to treat her to a day of pampering by getting her nails done. :)

They have regular and organic nail polish in lots of different colors. And I didn't even have to guess what color Miley wanted - PINK of course! :)

The girl started by sterilizing all the nail clippers she was going to use. She then gave Miley an arm and hand massage. I know Miley really enjoyed this since when we put nail polish at home, we now put lotion first hehe. ;p

Next it was time to put the hands in the bubble machine which Miley really loved! Do you know where I can buy something like this? So that we can really recreate the salon experience at home. :)

Then her nails were cut, buffed, and polished...

And then her hands were placed in the drying machine...

You can put nail art decals too, which were basically these tiny stickers. Good thing I saw that these were P10 a nail so I just compromised with Miley and asked if we could just get 2 (one for each pointer finger). Which was a smart decision since she peeled them when we got home anyways!

Then, a quick blow dry to make sure everything was set...

And viola! The cutest nails ever hehe! Talo pa ako ni Miley, I don't even get my nails done at a salon! Honestly, I could have done this myself at home but it was really the experience I wanted her to have. And I was also having so much fun just watching her go through the process. :)

She was so happy and proud of her nails after, she was already asking me when we could come back. Naku baby, mommy will do your nails muna for now, baka mamulubi tayo sa salon hehe! But it is quite affordable, so I promised her we would have regular "mommy & me" salon dates in the future. Check out their prices below. :)

Summer buys from SM

Summer is already here so I couldn't resist doing a little shopping when I was at SM a few days ago. Since we have a few beach trips lined up, I decided to buy some new swimsuits for the kids. The Hello Kitty rashguard was P750 but the boys briefs were on sale at just P100-P150! :)

I also got this kickboard for Miley when she starts to take swimming lessons.

I fell in love with this Peppermint dress even from afar and loved it even more since it was on sale for P500. The blue pants for Sabe was also on sale for P420. :)

The kids' feet grow so fast so I added these to their shoe collection. Sabe loves Transformers so he was so excited when he found the Bumblebee slippers! And the black ones look just like Toms but way cheaper hehe! Perfect everyday shoes. ;p

I've also been eyeing these Flamingo sandals for the longest time and finally it was marked down! Thank God there was a size for Miley! Also got some new white shoes for her since they really go with everything.

Aaaaaand... I couldn't help but get a little something for myself too hehe! I'm sure you all know how hard it is to find that perfect swimsuit right? So when I tried on this black one piece from Coco Cabana and it actually looked good on me, I didn't even think twice and bought it! I'm so glad gone are the days when one piece bathing suits were considered baduy. Now you can have all the coverage you want while still looking sexy and classy all at the same time.  :)

Three Amigos

Sometimes, I still can't believe I have 3 kids already... and all under the age of 5! I guess you could say hubby and I have been busy these past few years haha! ;p

I'm still waiting a couple more months until Skyler is a bit older before we go do a new family shoot. For all parents, I'm sure you know how hard it is to get a decent picture of little kids! But I'm super happy since everyone seemed to be in a good mood one afternoon and actually cooperated long enough for me to get these priceless shots! I was just clicking away like crazy, trying to get everyone to look at me and smile. Trust me when I say it was exhausting! Kudos to all professional photographers who manage to make it look so easy. ;p

So here they are, my priceless treasures I call my babies. I know they won't stay this little forever and time flies so fast... I just hope and pray that they'll grow up to be best friends and always remain close. :)

everyone look here!
say ahhhhh!
wacky pose!
Sabe and Skyler starting to get bored... Good job Ate!
Focus people... FOCUS!
NICE! That's what I'm talking about!
look up again...
Perfect! Thank you kids!

The Royal Treatment at Club Princess

We were at Bonifacio High Street one day and Miley got so excited when we passed by Club Princess since it really looks like a fantasy place for every little girl.

She wanted to buy something but I noticed that they were offering a "Royal Treatment" of tattoos, nail polish and nail art. I pointed it out to her and she got so eager to have a glimmer tattoo done. :)

Of course, she chose a butterfly design and also picked out all the colors herself. She loved it so much she didn't even want us to wash it off for about 3 days after! So sulit na din un P95 haha! ;p

Haaay I think this little kikay is gonna cost me so much money with all her salon trips at this early age! ;p

SuperStar Virgo Cruise: Food Galore & Gala Dinner

When you're on vacation, one thing you can be sure of doing a lot of is EAT! And with so many restaurants onboard the SuperStar Virgo, it's no wonder we all gained so much weight after. ;p

The food is inclusive in the cruise package, so all you need to worry about is where to eat. Drinks are not included though so you can imagine the huge bill my hubby racked up ordering beer hehe! ;p The "free" restaurants are the Mediterranean Buffet (International buffet restaurant), Pavilion Restaurant (Chinese family style restaurant), and the Bella Vista Restaurant (Continental main restaurant). They serve food for breakfast, lunch, tea time (merienda), dinner, and even supper (midnight snack). If you get sick of the "free" food, you can choose to eat in the other restaurants (there's Chinese, Japanese, Italian, etc.) but you have to pay for it separately.

The Mediterranean Buffet is probably the most popular restaurant since they serve international food. It's like a cafeteria style place where you line up with your trays and just get whatever you like. I like it here since there are so many choices, except that it can get kind of crowded and noisy. Sometimes, there are also rude people who cut in line! It can also get nakakasawa after a while since they serve practically the same food everyday.

busog!

Our favorite would have to be the Bella Vista which is a fine dining restaurant serving continental food. This is also the main dining hall so it's huge and very spacious, so it hardly ever gets filled up.

They have a set menu and you just choose your appetizer, soup, main course, and dessert. Then they serve it to you beautifully plated. Here's just some of the food we had ranging from salads, pasta, chicken, sausages, sandwiches, and of course yummy yummy dessert!

There's a formal gala on the last night where everybody gets dressed up for dinner at the Bella Vista. There's also cocktails beforehand where they serve free beer and champagne. The ship's crew is also there and you can get your photos taken with the Captain and the other officers.

hubby's favorite part of the cruise - free beer!

There's 2 schedules for the Gala Dinner, since not everyone will be able to fit at the Bella Vista all at the same time. Hubby and I took the earlier time at 6PM while the rest of the family watched the kids. It was so nice to be able to have a "date" since this was probably the only time we got to be alone the whole cruise haha! Just a little trivia, during our honeymoon 5 years ago, we were one of the couples chosen to sit at the Captain's table for the Gala Dinner. It was an honor since we were the only Asians out of the 4 other couples who were also there (we were seated beside a couple from Australia and the USA). Nosebleed lang nga haha! ;p

Hubby and I always make it a point to order something different so we could try as much on the menu as possible. Here's what we got during the dinner:

APPETIZER
Left: Captain's Spring Salad
Right: Smoked Duck Breast Carpaccio
SOUP
Left: Cream of Forest Mushroom
Right: Double Boiled Chicken Consomme
MAIN COURSE
Left: Roasted Beef Tenderloin seasoned with Orange-Pimiento Flakes
Right: Grilled Chicken Breast Filled with Cream Cheese
DESSERT
Strawberry and Pineapple Yogurt Parfait

Now you can see how we all gained so much weight after! ;p
