Field Trip at Sta. Elena Fun Farm

Miley went on her school field trip last week to Sta. Elena Fun Farm and unfortunately, I wasn't able to go with her since I had to stay home with the baby. But she and Daddy were able to spend some quality time together and they had so much fun!

The place looks really great from the pictures that hubby took. I checked their website and found out that although the farm is open to the public, you have to make a reservation if you plan to visit. Rate is P300.00 per head (child/adult/companion) and is inclusive of the following activities:

1. Carabao-cart riding
2. Horseback-riding
3. Animal feeding (bunnies/guinea pigs)
4. Mini Fishing
5. Mini Row-boating
6. Use of rope course & obstacle course
7. Use of mini zipline
8. Use of playground
9. Use of bike trail
8. Use of sand house
7. Use of Pavilion or picnic grounds (bring your own food and drinks)

I definitely have to schedule a visit here in the future for the whole family! Anyway, sharing some photos from super fun trip they had. :)

According to hubby, Miley had so much fun playing with and feeding the guinea pigs and rabbits. They look so cute even I'm tempted to get one as a pet haha! ;p

Here's Miley doing all the other activities around the farm.

fishing (they didn't catch any fish though hehe)
carabao-cart riding
at the playground
horseback riding with Daddy
Sand House
inside the Sand House, which was another favorite of the kids
riding the tractor
what a cute swing!
zipline area

I was so proud of Miley when hubby told me that she went on the zipline - 3 times! I can't stop watching the videos that hubby took - she was so brave and she enjoyed it so much! Go Miley!!! :)

I'm sad I missed going on Miley's first field trip. But I'm so happy she and her Dad had such a great time bonding together. When they got back, Miley kept saying her Daddy was now her best friend! Haha! Well, I can't wait to visit this place myself with all the kids. It seems like such a really great place for the whole family to enjoy. :)

Skyler update

It's so hard to find time to do things nowadays since I feel like I'm permanently attached to Skyler almost 24/7. Breastfeeding is serious business and this little baby seems to be hungry almost every hour! Which also means lots of changing dirty diapers too hehe. I can't count the number of times I've changed him and just when I've laid him down with his fresh diaper, I hear him pooping all over again! ;p

Like with all my kids, he chooses to take long naps during the day and is awake at night. I try to sleep when he's asleep in the afternoon, but sometimes it's hard to do since that's the only time I can do other things. Hubby also deserves a shout-out for being so great around the house as well - doing the grocery, taking the kids to school/playdates, etc. Now only if he could breastfeed too right? lol!

I'm so happy to say that Miley is completely in love with her new brother! She's always kissing him and asking if she can take care of him (which means to put him in her lap). There's a little sibling rivalry going on with Sabe though, just as we expected. Like when I'm carrying Skyler, he'll get mad and ask me to put him down on the crib and play with him instead. Awwww...

Anyway, here are some pics of Skyler adjusting to his new role as baby brother. :)

Photo inspirations: From bump to baby

I never had a maternity shoot in my first 2 pregnancies. So when the third one came along, I knew I wanted to document my growing belly since this might be the last time I got pregnant (we're perfectly happy with 3 kids but who knows in the future... whatever is God's plan for us. ;p).

I spent a lot of time on Pinterest just searching for pegs that I could recreate at home. And I found a lot of gorgeous ideas which were my inspiration for my before & after pregnancy photo. I think this is just a perfect way to capture the miracle of life and how awesome the journey of being pregnant is. If you're expecting, here are some creative ways to do that bump to baby photo. :)

My kids at Universal Studios SG!

If you remember, the kids went on their first out of the country trip in Singapore last October. And of course, one of things on our itinerary was to go to Universal Studios! Hubby and I were also there in the early part of 2012, and I said that I couldn't wait until the kids were older so we could bring them here. And now, that dream has become a reality. :)

The newest addition to the park was Sesame Street which wasn't around the last time hubby and I visited. So it was exciting to experience the new ride and see all the characters even if the kids didn't want to have their photos taken with them! I think they got shocked to actually see them so big and life-sized. Check out poor Sabe crying and screaming his heart out haha! But he couldn't stop talking about Elmo after. ;p

Here we are going around the different areas of the park...

In Far, Far Away...
at Jurassic Park

The kids had a lot of fun checking out the stores with the different merchandise. Of course, they wanted to buy everything - and that stuff ain't cheap! But they ended up getting a stuffed toy each from the Sesame Street store (Abby Cadabby for Miley and Elmo for Sabe).

Sabe loving the Shrek toys

Meanwhile, Miley had so much fun on all the kiddie rides! I love how excited and brave she was to try almost everything. Well, she just didn't like Ancient Egypt zone where "The Mummy" was since she got scared with the characters roaming around (like those Pharaos on stilts). But here she is having a blast on the Madagascar carousel and the Potion Factory ferris wheel.

Sabe on the other hand was still a bit apprehensive to go on some of the rides, even though he loves all the movies like Shrek, Madagascar and Transformers. We rode the Madagascar Crate Adventure and he got scared as soon as we entered the tunnel since it was dark. We also tried watching the Shrek 4D movie but as soon as they turned off the lights, he started crying! So we just waited outside hehe. Hopefully, he'll be more game when we go to Disneyland. :)

A lot of kids were also holding these Universal Studios balloons so naturally, the kids wanted one too. I just didn't expect them to cost SG$10 (about P350) each! Ang mahal! But it was worth it since the kids held on to it the entire time we were there. We even tried bringing one home to Manila, but it deflated inside the luggage hehe.

If you also recall, I was about 6 months pregnant here so I was basically just watching everyone's stuff while they went on the rides haha! But the weather was so hot when we went so I was happy just sitting in the shade or inside an air-conditioned place. Good thing I've already been here before and rode almost everything so I didn't feel like I was missing out. ;p

It was such a great experience for the whole family and I can't wait until we are able to go to Disneyland! Keeping my fingers crossed it'll happen this year. :)

DIY Flower Crown

I had a vision for my maternity shoot and I knew I wanted to wear a flower crown for that boho, free-spirited look. Luckily, all the materials came together and I was able to make one which I completely love! :)

I got all the artificial flowers from Uniwide for a steal:
long flowers: P29 each, purple flowers: P15 each, white flowers: P49

I also got these floral stems from National Bookstore to hold all the flowers together:

Can I just say I'm so happy I found these flowers with the long stems! Without them, I don't know what I would have used for the base. They're made of wire so I was able to bend and shape it into a circle to fit my head.

I just used masking tape to connect the ends together:

I then pulled apart the other flowers to put on the crown:

Then, I used the floral wire to attach the flowers to the crown. Just keep wrapping them around the stems tightly and layering on the flowers to your liking:

And here's my finished crown! I just placed the flowers halfway since it won't be seen in the back anyways. But you can go ahead and continue everything the whole way.

And there you have it! I think it totally completed my look for my maternity shoot don't you think? :)
