Residence Inn Zoo in Tagaytay
Right after Holy Week, we went to Tagaytay for lunch and also to pass by the Pink Sisters Chapel. After, we decided to check out the zoo at Residence Inn. Entrance fee is P250 per person and free for children 3 ft below. To sum things up, we were able to go around the entire zoo in less than 30 minutes since they have a very small collection of animals. You can also have your picture taken with some animals like a python, an owl, or a pony for an additional fee. There are also several shops strewn around the place selling (overpriced) toys and souvenir items, There's also a zip line and cable car which we didn't try (but I think this might be the only appealing attraction in this place).
Well, after going around the place, I have to say that the steep entrance fee is not really worth it. I mean, Manila Zoo is so much better compared to this place (and that's saying a lot!), and their entrance fee is even less than half. Instead of feeling happy, you just feel so sad and sorry for the animals in their cramped cages! Well, there are so many other great attractions in Tagaytay and sadly for me, this is not one of them.

| There were also a few tigers who were housed in small cages like this one. I don't know how they are "upgrading" but hopefully, they give these poor animals a better home :( |

Playing dress-up
Miley loves dressing up in costumes and then acting out scenes from different shows and movies she watches. If she weren't so shy around strangers, dinala ko na to sa ABS-CBN matagal na hahaha! ;p But anyway, here are just some of the characters she's put on (she still has a witch and doctor costume that I haven't taken a pic of yet).
This pink gown (which I got from SM on sale for less than P500) is actually her current favorite. She wears it at least once a day and she's actually wearing it right now as I'm blogging. One time, she even wanted to wear it to the mall! Whenever she puts it on though, she keeps asking me for her "glass slippers" which I still owe her. ;p
May pinagmanahan talaga tong anak ko hihi! I'm sure in the near future it won't be costumes but actual outfits already that she'll love trying on. ;p

Trying our luck at Solaire Resort & Casino
My mother-in-law invited us for lunch at Buffet 101 MOA last week since she had gotten some vouchers (yey for us!). After a stuffing ourselves completely full (btw, you can read about my first time to try Buffet 101 here), my in-laws suggested we check out the newly opened Solaire Resort and Casino. Hubby and I were so excited since it was gonna be our first time to enter a casino haha! I remember going to Las Vegas when I was about 12 and wanting to try the slot machines but couldn't. This time, I can finally play since I'm way past the age limit (although I was secretly hoping they would ask for my ID haha!).
We were worried at first since we were dressed so casually, but so was everybody else! It definitely wasn't like Resorts World Manila where you have lots of stores and casual restaurants to choose from. Here, it was all casino with a few pricey boutiques and expensive dining options (at least for me - so I am definitely NOT the target market haha!). Well, there were still some areas under construction so I'm sure there will be more to look forward to in the coming months. Take note that you will end up smelling like an ashtray when you leave though, since people can smoke freely.
After going around the place and checking out the restaurants, hubby and I were ready to win big! Problem was, we had no idea how the slot machines worked. Everything was just so confusing! We bet P100 first and that was gone in 60 seconds hahaha! We just kept pressing random buttons kasi! Anyway, my mother-in-law was super lucky. She bet P100 and she was able to win P2,600! And it was so much fun watching other people play and win. There was this one lady who also bet P100 and walked away with P3,500 in one sitting. Well, for every lucky person, I'm sure there are 10 unlucky ones... like me and hubby. We bet another P100 and was able to double that in our next try (we were already so happy!) but of course, we lost again once we became too confident. Before we left, we tried one last time... but again our P100 was inhaled by the slot machine. Oh well, now I know why some people lose a lot of money gambling, it can really be addicting! And at the back of your mind, you keep wanting to go on and on since the next spin might be your lucky one... And that double or nothing bet really kills you! But of course, you should always know when to stop. And I'm glad we did! Now, we just downloaded this Casino app in our iPad. At least we can just play with pretend money hahaha!
