Spatzle Euro Market Cafe at Shangri-la Mall

I found myself in Shangri-la Mall one weekend, and this was a treat since I'm rarely in this part of town. After checking out the vast choices of restaurants, hubby and I decided to have lunch at Spatzle Euro Market Cafe.

Spatzle is located at the 5th floor of the mall's East Wing. I guess what initially caught our eye was the bright, open space and lovely interiors.

For our appetizer, we ordered these Bacon Mozza Logs which are smoked bacon rolled on crisp stringy mozzarella logs served with housemade marinara sauce (P298). I really liked this, especially since I'm a bacon lover. ;p

Of course, we had to get some spatzle right?! Originated in Southern Germany, spatzle is a soft pasta or dumpling usualy freshly made. We ordered the Quattro Spatzle which is a sampler plate of their spatzle hits; bolognese, truffle mushroom cream, carbonara, and pesto (P495).

Mind you, this dish is good for about 3-4 persons and it's quite filling. My favorites would have to be the truffle mushroom and pesto flavors.

For our main dish, we got the Roast Pork Belly which is part of their weekend market special. We didn't order rice anymore since we had spatzle. It was quite sweet and I liked the crunchy skin.

We also got the All-Natural Citrus Cooler Soda which is citrus fruits with honey & mint leaves in sparkling water (P145).

Overall, we enjoyed our lunch date here. Good food, service, and ambiance. :)
