LEGOLAND MALAYSIA RESORT (part 2): Our stay at Legoland Hotel

Since I wanted to maximize our trip to Legoland, we booked a 2 night stay at the Legoland Hotel with access to both the theme park and the water park. Check their website since they usually have different promos. We also went on a weekday (Monday - Wednesday) to avoid the crowds.

Here's the breakdown of our package for 2 adults and 2 kids:
2 nights Standard Room (with breakfast): MYR 2,150
2-day combo ticket valid to access Theme Park and Water Park: MYR 810
TOTAL: MYR 2,960

From Singapore, we finally arrived in Legoland at around 11am. We went to the hotel first to leave our bags since check-in was at 4pm pa. Our original plan was to go around the theme park on the first day (while waiting for check-in) and on third day (after check-out), so we could maximize our hotel stay on the 2nd day. But we had to use our 2-day pass consecutively pala. So we decided to just stay in the hotel on the first day instead. So many fun things to do just in the lobby pa lang!

pirate ship play area
so many Lego bricks to play with
castle playground with more Lego bricks
The wall at the reception area has over 12,000 Lego minifigurines! And check out the bike's wheels which are like magnifying glasses - it zooms in on the figures as it passes by!

kids had a blast making their own Lego swords

Right across from Legoland (as in right in front) was a small shopping and eating complex with a KFC and Burger King. We had lunch here while waiting for check-in. For our succeeding meals, we just did take out and ate in our hotel room.

When we came back to the hotel, we were informed that we could finally go to our rooms earlier at 2pm. Now check out the fun elevators - all have disco balls with lights and music when you enter! We couldn't help but dance every time!

Anyway, the hotel has 3 different themed rooms - Pirate, Adventure, and Kingdom. I made my kids choose and they wanted the Adventure one (although I read that the Pirate one was the most popular). All the rooms come with a bunk bed (that even has a pull-out underneath) which was what my kids were most excited about! I love that they have a separate sleeping area with their own TV too! And there's a sliding door if the parents want some privacy hehe ;p

This was a Standard Room which also has a king sized bed and can sleep up to 5 persons (maximum 3 adults per room). I believe the only difference from the Premium Themed rooms are just extra theming and Lego features. As you can see, it was very spacious for just the 4 of us!

Another fun thing for the kids was the treasure chest inside the room. They had to look for clues to answer the questions which will unlock the safe!

here's their prizes - a sword and a shield which we got to take home!
the hotel also provided a box of Duplo blocks to play with
The bathroom was a decent size. Wish there was a bathtub though.
And yes, there are 2 sinks! The one on the right is kiddie sized!

We went swimming too later that afternoon. There was an adult pool and a kiddie pool. I loved that there was a canopy above the pool to protect us from the sun and rain. And there were also big Lego floating bricks to play with!

The hotel also has daily contests and activities.

We decided to join the daily Lego building contest and that month's theme was a Castle. Hubby and I sort of had a mini challenge to see who would win... I entered for our daughter and he entered for our son.

showing off our creations

And guess who won? I DID!!! I guess they found my rainbow house super cute haha! They gave Miley a certificate and some Lego stuff.

Breakfast buffet was at the Bricks Resturant. There were a lot of choices but it was just okay for me. But the place was super cute though!

Still more play areas in the hotel. This was right outside Bricks Restaurant. Honestly, just staying in the hotel is already fun enough for the kids! It was kinda hard dragging them to the theme park since they were so happy and contented here already (plus it was so HOT outside!). Actually, they kept asking to go back to the hotel every time we went out!

They had such an amazing experience, even now they keep bugging me that they want to come back to stay at the hotel! They even said they liked it better than Disneyland! Personally, I find it super worth it and wouldn't hesitate to book here again. :)

Anyway, I'll be posting about the theme park and the water park next!
